You're probably not wrong: these are just down the road from a gypsy, sorry, traveller's site.

Despite the price tag not one of the better parts of Cambridge, only thing going for these is the river frontage. Mind you probably all sold off plan and now part of a landlords portfolio.

They definitely look better from the river side.

From the pics it looks like your 1.25m buys you close proximity to your neighbours and a shared garden.

I'm not sure that river frontage is ideal during term time either, when you're going to have to listen to noisy college crews rowing past from just after dawn Rolling Eyes

Ejc

If it helps I can offer a helping hand from my own life experience.

When I can't understand someone's behaviour, I think about it. Ok that is perhaps a bit obvious.

To give one example, being someone who thinks gambling is silly, for anything other than entertainment, and even then it seems to me to be a bit silly for more than the odd occasion, I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get my mind around why "whales" gamble 200,000+ per hand, hour after hour. It would be fair to say that I have really thought about this, deeply (it's good esoteric training) and eventually I "got" why the likes of Kerry Packer gambled the way he did. Fair play to him. Equally I "got" how egos, or simple addition could get others. And so on.

I have done similar with other "nuts" that I have needed to crack. It can take years to learn enough, to reflect enough, before you get those "ah-ha" moments.

So Ejc, a suggestion, reflect upon it occasionally, and in time you may get one of those "ah-ha" moments where you get it. You might think that it will make little difference to your life, but as I noted above it is a very good esoteric training regime, that when done properly, really can open doors that enable other understandings. Not only about in this case, why people do that, but also about yourself. It's good architectural work.

Hope that makes some sort of sense. Having done this sort of thing for what must be approaching two decades now I find it fascinating how answering such questions about others can help you learn more about yourself. It really is quite enabling.

To be fair, I'm no scholar, but you don't need to have studied Latin to know what the graffiti means

Surely any real scholar would've been happier with the original 1984 Norwegian version?
