It looks like a group of my club will be travelling over for this next year.

I did the short in '11 & several of us have done the long in the past, but not for a few years. I'm undecided as to whether to do the short or long, it will depend on my Spring/early Summer. My question to those that have done it recently is, do the events sell out?

Cheers.

It didn't sell out this year and I think they were still taking entries on the day.

I decided to do the short again. Is it still a draft-fest to the bottom of the hill?

Anyone else going along? I'm not taking it too seriously as I hope to do the Marmotte route a couple of days before with friends.....getting my excuses in early.

Travel safe people.

Good luck & happy racing DH

Short is indeed still a total draft fest for the first 25km, but then if I recall correctly there is a little hill which breaks up the pack.

Three racers here for the Long Course we raced here 4 years ago and have decided to come back for another go. Staying in Alpe Dhuez for the week it's a beautiful place to be.

I rode up the Alpe this morning in the rain which was as hard as I remember didn't wipe the smile off my face tho

Good luck to all whichever event and stay safe

Completely irrelevant but it popped up on my FB memories yesterday that I did the LC 7 years ago!

Was the longest race I'd done at the time but was nice and warm, probably mid 20's.

Would like to go back one day.

Hot for us shorties today as well. Sneaked an AG win, but didn't get the car.

Thats how I ride all the time, but when you crash and fck your shoulder up, then try and ride up, unable to stand, with a 39/17 easiest gear... ADH was a tad hard this year.

Thinking about this for next year. What sort of budget do I need to get signed of from the FD (wife)?

Is it expensive to stay? IS it a good location for a youngish (7/9 year old) family?
