I was actually quite surprised when I entered the 113 last week; that's now over 130 too, sure it was 109 last year (could be mistaken) but that does include excellent traffic management by the Police - which obviously costs. Parking is another fiver too, at the Waterpark...and yet I entered! They are great events. Also looking at Immortal Half, which is 145, again expensive due to the National Trust venue I'm guessing (Stourhead).

So I think good quality non WTC Halfs are gusting toward 150 these days.

entries for the Owler middle in Ashford are 110 - and that's the TE Middle Distance Champ event this year. parking is free and camping on site if needed.

Tbh, anything involving an overnighter is going to cost way more in fuel/accommodation, so I just bite the bullet!

For anyone that lives near the north west Epic events have a 70.3 (Epciman) on 11th June at Lancaster which is only 60, so cheap events do exist.

Granted, anyone travelling needs to factor in petrol and hotel.

Vitruvian is looking even more attractive this year as looks like Elbaman is now on for our family holiday 😜 instead of the Brutal.

Vit is 2 weeks previous and enjoyed it last year. Did not see much traffic apart from one village when a minute to sort out some nutrition and take a quick break was fine !

3am wake up to travel there is easier than night away too when I am normally up at 4.30am each day anyway

Aberfeldy HM is only 85 so that is on the books along with the Steelman again.

There's been some talk that "Aberfeldy" may not be on. Apparently the guy who organised it has left the council or something.

Looks like a "new" Aberfeldy may be on the cards, run by Durty events (Who are pretty good - done some of theirs before), and using the old race director from the original.

Not altogether clear what's happening really... But there is a race listed on Entry Central for 20-Aug, run by Durty Events. If they have taken it over I would expect a well run race.

Haha... Per Entry Central "cool, clear waters of Loch Tay"...

What they mean is "Chilly" on the following scale https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01KVj8kEjMo

Just checked to see how entries are going and looks like only 800 out of 1100 are taken so far, so can afford to sit on my hands for a bit longer and see how my return to running goes.
