It wasn't a wall, in the sense that I was expecting a wall to be. I was expecting the wall to be a point when your energy level drop to zero. In my case, my energy levels felt fine, it was more the tight calf and warning pain in my knee that caused me to slow down.... maybe that is what the wall feels like? Surprised

However, I will admit that when I broke my rhythm on the shingle beach, I wasn't able to regain the same pace, I had no calf or knee problems then (this was at 12km to go)

The wall only exists if you get your fuelling strategy wrong. Nowadays there's no real excuse to hit it.

Good time off a previous longest run of 21km.

Don't use this as a basis for the IM though - here you started with fresh legs and full of fuel. You won't be the same after a swim and a bike.
