So I know we are on the other side of the equator, however, I wanted to let all you Triathlon Guns know that the Byron Bay Triathlon Festival has it's early bird discount on till the end of January... SOO if anyone is thinking of the ultimate holiday for 2017, make it in May Down Under : some of the details are below:

thanks for pointing out the early bird, $14 is not to be sniffed at for an Oly.
Just need to find some cheap flights as my brother lives in Perth (cheap accommodation) and then I can ride across to the event start with my tri-box (ah 3,000 miles). It's on the radar as it will be a good warm up before the Outlaw half the week after.

Sorry, got carried away, but I will one day visit your shores (but probably Perth though, Brussleton looks great) Sun

When I was there there was a note up on the surfing boards that a Great White had been seen the day before. Didn't stop the surfers mind you - but I'm incredibly wussy.

Lovely place Byron - verrry laid back.
