Hello Everyone,

I will be coming to the UK to race Ironman Bolton, however I will be traveling through Europe post race for about a month. I rather not have to lug my bike around everywhere, and shipping it back home (Canada) seems rather expensive.

Does anyone have any experience in storage of a bike for about a month? would a rental storage locker be best? or are there other places that will hold onto it for a bit? (airport, Bike store?)

Thanks,

What are your plans while in the UK? I'm in Oxford and could put the bike in my loft for a month if that would help?

Yeah, finding a person near your final airport would be ideal.

The airports left luggage places would be pricey for this, but there are loads of storage places who would store a bike box for a month for about 50 Canadian or so.

If you're flying out of Birmingham I could help with garage space for it alongside mine

Wow, thanks for the responses guys/girls.

I am not 100% sure what airport I will be flying out of just yet (waiting to see if I can get a better deal on airfare first)

But I will be revisiting this thread when I know what airport I will be arriving/leaving from.

worst case scenario would be use a rental locker.

Thanks,

if you end up flying from the south west, you're welcome to leave it chez moi unless it is that ugly Diamondback from Jorgan's post in which case you'll need a rental locker Wink

If north east (York) is a help, feel free to chuck it in my garage. Should have you fairly well covered for the country by now I think.
