he's one of the very few people who the tag "legend" can be attached to and have some real meaning.

I wonder whether his streak will ever be broken??

Just thing how much better a runner he would've been had just had a rest day to allow his body to recover...

potentially, yes, but he was from a different generation which is to his advantage and was not always at the top of his game...
