Anyone else going or been before? Is it worth it?

Decided to get tickets as I'm in the market for a new bike and wetsuit and was hoping that a lot of the internet only manufacturers turn up for me to try out for size etc.

These shows are always a bit limited and I wouldn't necessarily expect there to be too many bike manufacturers there for you to look at, but there are usually some good deals on wetsuits and nutrition.

The big plus for me over the old TCR show at Sandown Park is that it combines with the cycle show and the outdoor show, so even if the tri section is a bit limited, there's plenty of other stuff to look at while you are there

I would've thought their key demographic, 40yo men with spare cash, will be on holiday with their kids as it's half term. As I am.

The event is combined with Adventure and Outdoors / Scuba Diving and....https://www.thelondonbikeshow.co.uk/

Hopefully enough bikes to try out to get an idea of what I want/can afford.

Went two years ago and thought the tri part of it very limited and there was more interest in the cycling section. GCN guys were there too interviewing Greg Lemond which was fascinating. The speakers were always the best bit of the Sandown show and I preferred that venue; less like a hangar than this one. More a, might go if I have time, than a must go event.

I might get down to this, if you take your time around the stalls and get chatting to people it's a great day out. If you just go to look at new bling, you might find yourself a bit let down.

Last year there were some good talks on about interesting subjects, as well as some crits to watch if you like crashes!

I'm not going but based on Sandown experiences from the past.

Not many bike stands or bike products, even fewer for sale. A ton of nutrition stands and training camp flyers.

Endless Pool witha few wetsuits and rack upon rack of swimwaer sale stuff.

Let me know how I did? Wink

slightly different at this show as it's not solely focused on tri, and the bike section is the biggest area. the tri element is very limited and imho, nowehere near as good as Sandown.

won't be going this year

Don't forget calf guards - you wouldn't be seen dead at an expo without calf guards, would you? Wink Rolling Eyes
