Two books I did not enjoy are Fit Body Fit Soul by Mark Allen (unless you like invoking the spirit of the deer and other shaman stuff), and Scott Tinley's book which I found a bit like reading spaghetti. These two awesome athletes have my utmost respect in every other way though.

I enjoyed Iron War a lot. Found David Millar's book enjoyable too.

Are the Brownlees going to write a book any time soon? "From Brown to Gold" or something? I'll buy it

Not a book, but as Obree was recommended very early in this thread I thought I'd put Battle Mountain out there;

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08c70vf/battle-mountain-graeme-obrees-story?suggid=b08c70vf

Available on iPlayer til early March.

Rumours abound that God shows her an alternative path to the finish line.

Well I never, how did I miss that.

Your offer is very kind but I couldn't possibly deprive your tri bookshelf of that tome so will pick one up on Amazon or actually may wait until they retire & then get the memoirs

Thanks though

I've not seen these rumours. Seems a bit harsh but who knows. Slowtwitch I'm sure are on the case Wink still it's a good read.

It's marginally better than Chrissie Wellington's book. But only just.

My memory may be playing tricks on me but I'm sure that wasn't the name of her book. It was Chicked, Cowboy or something like that. It's a bit foggy now to be honest but I thought it was a good read at the time

Finally got around to watching this - he's without doubt an intriguing character, but there was definitely a melancholic undertone to the whole thing. I guess mainly because it's clear he struggles with 'everyday' life - but he articulated all that really well so that part was interesting.

A few too many stock shots of tarmac roads going by slowly in the second hald - they didn't do a particularly great job of conveying the speed, which given the amount of wobble going on must've been terrifying!
