According to Garmin Connect I've done 8hours 34minutes training this week.

Reasonably pleased with this.

Wasn't difficult to achieve surprisingly. Didn't have a rest day this week, usually a Friday, but went for a very easy 3 mile run instead.

Next week's going to be an easier week overall, next session won't be until Tuesday night due to being away with work.

So this is week 4 of my training with Coach Cox, and I have to say the attention to detail and structure is awesome:

S: 2x - 3075 metres
B: 2 x - 42 miles (approx. - about 2.5hrs of indoor turbo)
R: 3x - 13.5 miles

In all, my Garmin stats show 6hr 12mins, and about 60 miles covered.

Kind of interesting seeing what other people are doing, especially at this point in the year. So I'll add to the data set. All base work for me at the moment.

3 swims - 5,700m
2 bikes - 125km (+4 days of commuting, adding another 80km)
3 runs - 46km

Total duration, including the commutes, was 15hrs according to Training Peaks.

About to leap back in....

THis is test week. Rise of 15 secs on 400m swim time, rise of 2.8kg body weight. Bike FTP test and 5k run tests to come, expecting similar bad news from those.

Once that is done going to settle in at 3 swims 4 runs 5 bikes and 1-2 strength/conditioning for 12 weeks..

Swims will be CSS pace, endurance, technique. Bike will be mainly sweet spot base work, with a bit of low cadence strength, and runs all easy.

let the games begin....

Swim 1x1050m (I could barley lift my arms after)
Bike 0x112miles (yes 0x112 = 0 )
Run 1x 2.9miles (But it was up a big hill)
Drinking - Nothing, first dry week since Tenby

I would add this to my totals since Tenby, but it wouldn't make any difference to the numbers as I haven't done #@?# since then. Bike is still in a heap in the corner of the room.

I do plan on progression from here though.

So from the 20th - 26th I did:

7hrs 36mins in total, made up of:
1hr 18 swim - 5,475 metres
3hr 45 bike - done on turbo
2hr 33 run - 15.5 miles

Slowly building up the hours, which is good. My swim was 20 mins down on what it should have been, but I'll make that up this week.

I'm also tracking my weight - down to 11st 13lbs (76ish kgs) this week, which is down from 13st 7lbs (82ish kgs) in the 6 weeks I've been training with Coach Cox. Things are going very well, I'd say. I'm looking forward to the durations and the intensity ramping up.

Last week was a week 4 recovery week for me plus some silly hours at work.

Run 60 minutes
Turbo 60 minutes
Swimming 1hour 20 minutes
Strength and Core 1 hour 50 minutes

Now looking to get up to 8 hours over the next 3 weeks, then another recovery week.

Seems to have actually worked well. I was totally shattered for the whole of last week, but feel really refreshed today.

20th-26th

Swim - 1 (2675y)
Bike - 3 (94km) (+4 days commuting 44km)
Run - 2 (21km)

Felt tired on the bike on Sunday despite it being quite a steady ride. This week will likely be a bit down as got a few things on which is probably timely.

Last week was the 4th week of my "base build" block from my new coach. Totals were as follows:

3 swims - 6,200m
3 bikes - 175km (+1 day of commuting, adding another 20km)
3 runs - 44km

Total duration was 12.5hrs according to Training Peaks (down from the 15hrs of the week before, mainly due to the 3 fewer days of commuting, equating to 3hrs).

Hoping for 14+ hours this week

Good start with 3.5 hours of base work today.

Watts are creeping up at a set heart rate, and run speed seems to have returned after running off, slowly in October?!

Watch me get the flu or one of my legs fall off or something silly by the weekend.
Stick at it folks!
