I find the opposite, but it might just be personal circumstances help on the logistics. I can fit in a 2k swim in around 45mins all-in, so perfect for a lunchtime. It definitely helps I have a pool at my gym 50m outside the office building front entrance though!

Morning club sessions are also easy enough to motivate myself for. 2.3k done this morning by 7.30am at one of those.

My pool is 1km away, so not exacly far. However it only opens at 6.30am and if I swim then I need to be home by 7.10 ish to get kids up and out for school. It only leaves enough actual swim time for 1k to 1.2k at my swim speed. No pool near work.

Running I manage to fit in during my lunch break along with a weekend run and cycling I am doing mainly on the turbo in the evenings. Much easier to get done.

8 hours exactly, pleased with that.

Split between 3 bike, 4 run, 3 swim and 2 strength and core.

1 hour swim in the Endless pool and a 2 hour turbo yesterday.

Sorted my 2018 "race" calendar out too.

Swim x2 (4450m)
Bike x3 (94km) +2 days commuting, 22km
Run x3 (21km)

Phuket Triathlon on the turbo yesterday. Couple of 14% climbs put my cadence into sharp focus, like 50rpm in 1st gear.

3 swims - 6,100m
2 bikes - 100km
3 runs - 43km

Total duration down again, this week to just 8hrs. Mainly a result of a slight switch in focus to a track 5k I have this Saturday. Aim is to pb, but we will see. Did my first track training session in a number of weeks on the Tuesday, and due to the intensity of that session, my coach dropped the volume a bit around that session.

Added to that, I substituted the long weekend ride for a 2hr turbo on Saturday due to combo of hangover and weather. It's party season after all.

Another lighter week planned for this week too, leading into the race.

70km running, 6.5 hrs but only 3 runs for me last week.

all three sessions were really tough, so i was sensible for once and gave my legs some recovery time.

A big road hill rep session, an even bigger off road hill rep session and a pre work road marathon on Friday morning. Coulld've gone out last night, but not really sure what it would have added.

Sooooooo, sat down yesterday and worked out my plan for this week.

Going to seriously have to amend it! I don't mind running outside when it's -9c like this morning, but there's no way I'm turbo training in an unheated shed tomorrow morning!

Time to swap Tuesday and Wednesday workouts.

5 hours 15 mins today.......!
Two spin classes at 150 bpm.... Intervals a little more, but not much more.
Two 10k runs at a steady pace
One very slow swim the rest core and weights.

Massage tomorrow morning and it may be a little painful to start.

Anyone venturing out running, Chapeau but seriously just don't!

I'm impressed, what time did you start that?
