I've hardly left my bed for 3 days now so no training and nothing imminent.

Just want to feel semi normal again.

Hoping it's not going to drag on for a long time.

Take it easy Jeff.

It may take a while to clear. Had a nasty bout of it about 2/3 weeks ago. Still getting over it and still coughing up all sorts as it clears.

Off work for a few months now, before I hit civvy street. Hence why I haven't posted much Wink I went out for a 3h ride on Monday and that was pretty hard in the wind/cold, and I was ravenous when I got back. Stayed in the pool/trainer today though, as it's just silly cold today for riding.

Hit the big 15 this week.
Did swim sets... ran out side ! Fast 5k on the mill an hour at 240w without breaking my heart rate monitor.

Hope everybody worked hard and stayed safe.

Is 15 really a "big" age? Happy birthday anyway

5 runs ~54km in ~4:02
1 extended commute, second half in deep snow ~2 hours in (150 AP 190 NP)
3 turbos
207/266 ~0:32
196/246 ~0:39
239/255 ~0:43

So less then 8 hours, snow was pretty bad, also the running was all slow and overdressed due to the ice.

Just one swim on Wednesday - 2500m. Pool was closed Saturday and a combination of snow and motivation meant I did bugger all else.
I am determined to get back on the wagon this week despite the slight remnants of the flu bug as it's been 4 weeks now and I'm sick of it.

The week started well, but the beast from the east hammered our area Wednesday onward.

Ended up with 3 runs, 1 bike, 2 swims and some Crossfit. 4 hours all in.

Back on track this week, apart from Wednesday when I'm flying down to MK and back for meetings.

Stinking cold coincided with the arrival of the beast. Would have been nice to be out running some snowy trails but wasnt to be. I'm over the feeling carp and exhausted stage but still dealing with snotty symptoms. Day 8 of no exercise. Chomping at the bit to get back out running but i think another day or two is going to be required....... The marathon training plan takes its inevitable first broadside, luckily i think i was ahead of the game enough this year to soak it up...

Still struggling for motivation. I want to race, but not to train. Doh.

Bike 255 TSS
Swim None
Run 16.1km +193m

Got a catch up run to do today. Maximal effort intervals mid week kind of blew my legs up, still tired today.

Not much for me last week. Perfect timing for a taper week with the weather, and as my race went ahead yesterday, it all panned out nicely.

2 swims for 4.4km
1 turbo for 40mins
3 fairly easy runs outside of my race (one on the treadmill due to weather), totalling 25km

1 half marathon PB in 1:19:57 Very Happy

sweet, nice one Stenard!! Was that the 'great half mara' or whatever it was called (the london one)?

Despite still having some pain in my foot I was fgoing stir crazy being in the house so went for a test snow run on Thurs of 5km. Seemed ok so went out for 10km the next day. Seemed ok, so went for a 23km one on Sunday morning ... a little bit sore!! haha

Also managed a climb and a turbo interval session, and i can tell you that 2.5 weeks of doing absolutely nothing but eating really affects your fitness! i was blowing!

I've got a bit fed of the injury now. It's not really getting worse or better, so going to crack on and monitor it.
