Be interesting to see how Sanders deals with competing in a strong field.

Looks like we'll get to see him at 70.3 St. George, should be a good showdown

I recall on the Oxygen Addict podcast that Sanders puts all his swim gains down to swimming in the morning. He said he'd changed nothing else, but he said the extra "feel" for the water from swimming fresh every day meant he made huge leaps in his times.
I thought he said he was now training with a swim group?

Anyway, looking at the pro start list I think Jackson Laundry will clean up.

I'll get my coat
Maybe. I was listening on a long run, so maybe I zoned out. The main bit I remember was him talking about morning swimming, being fresh, and the additional feel. But maybe he has joined a different group too.
All on his blog.

Swimming in the morning, and swimming with the local (fast) swim squad..... of kids.....! (and anyone who doesn't think they'd be thrashed by a top 10 year old is deluding themselves)

Even the youths at the local club glide past me; I expect it. I often wonder how many of them will be swimming at my speed when they're 43 though. Probably not many.

There's a few youngsters now that burn me off in club TT's these days. One is in my son's class at College.

I'm waiting for birds and booze to slow them down a bit, because I won't get much quicker but at the moment they are properly dedicated...

I wonder if there are any other 'A Listers' doing that one; I'd be surprised. I guess he wants a primer on a lumpy HIM course.

Just clicked on the Challenge Gran Canaria website, race looks magnificent although I'd imagine that's one tough, hot run....

Bike course looks honest - that road doesn't have a lot of flat. Shame it doesn't go further around the coast road to the west where there are some longer drags.

You can't say Brownlee is trying to slither his way to Chattanooga via a few soft races....

Wow - that looks like a great race. If Ali did manage to top that (it would be a very big ask) then we could have a British 1-1 with Holly Lawrence racing on the ladies' side as well!

Interesting to see Mark Buckingham on there as well, didn't know he was moving up to longer stuff - he's a pretty decent runner.
