Aquabike…

So, tell me about it.

I’m an above average M45 swimmer and cyclist. But I can’t run for shit.

Is this a good direction, or is it a place to go and learn that actually, you’re a shit swimmer and a shit cyclist too?

possibly…

it might allow you to ‘race’ when you are unable to run…

or, of course, you could try and develop your running…

Old friends of mine from France do all the Euro champs for it. He was a decent-ish runner but always struggled with knee issues. He gave up bothering with running and now is normally 1st or 2nd in his AG in aquabike. Loves it.

I think it’s great too - I’m a rubbish runner. The rest isn’t bad.

Each to their own but as someone who has been unable to run the past few years and now has a knee replacement in my near future what i wouldn’t give to still be a BOP runner… unless i can figure out how to do “fast” walking i think aquabikes are my future, or bike TT but there aren’t many of those where i live…
